Contract-to-hire Staffing/Placement
Employers want to find the right candidate for the right position. They’d rather be patient for that perfect match, than hire someone who may or may not the right fit. This need has given rise to Contract-to-Hire positions.
In more recent times, employers have adopted the approach of hiring a potential candidate on a contract-to-hire or temp-to-hire basis in order to see if the candidate is not just skilled but also fits the company’s work culture.
We at ITBrainiac flippantly refer to Contract-to-hire positions as a “trial run.” It’s like when you go to buy a car, you take it for a “trial run spin.” Similarly, this kind of position, enables employers as well as candidates to see if they are a good fit for one another, culturally, long term goals etc., before embarking on a long term or in this case, full time (hire) relationship.
